Corporate Social Responsibility

At Eyoko we value community and working together to support and strengthen one another. We aim to support the Sickle Cell Society (SCS) by donating 5% of all profits to the SCS, this money will finance essential welfare, research and educational projects for children. Furthermore, this money will help to educate others about ‘Sickle Cell’ through information resources, talks, seminars and training, in additional to supporting the helpline for people affected by ‘Sickle Cell’.

Who are the Sickle Cell Society?

SCS registered as a charity in 1979, formed of patients, parents and professionals who were concerned about the lack of understanding and treatment of sickle cell anemia. Their vision is to be the most successful sickle cell organization nationally with a wide network of well-informed, committed and active supporters.

Why Sickle Cell Anemia?

The black community by far have the largest number of sickle cell rates with 10,000 - 15,000 individuals affected in the UK and France alone. In West Africa 1 in 4 people are affected by sickle cell, and 1 in 10 in all Afro Caribbean’s also carry this trait. We want to support the charity to continually support individuals in our communities so they can become testimonies to the nations.
